Michael’s Story

“I met Janine when I first started back at acac in May 2012 after shoulder surgery.  She talked about the TRX small group class and that she had worked with other members coming off of surgery. I was interested in getting into a consistent workout program and her class sounded perfect.  

Working with Janine in the small group classes has been a great experience.  I had been out of a regular workout routine for a long time and was just coming off shoulder surgery.  My goals in returning to acac was to strengthen, specifically my shoulder, overall strength training and weight loss.  Since I have been working with Janine, my overall fitness and strength has increased substantially and I have lost almost 30lbs.  I recently went for my yearly physical – my cholesterol level is down 40 points and blood pressure is at a strong 110/60.  My doctor was ecstatic at the improvements over the past year couple years. 

I have worked with multiple trainers over the past 20 years.  Janine is my top rated trainer.  Her TRX class is a very comprehensive workout and is also really enjoyable to attend.  I started out doing attending a 1/2 hour session each week in June 2012.  I am now doing 2 – 1/2 hour workouts and a 1 hour session each week with Janine.  .  In addition she is very conscious of your capabilities, overall and from session to session.  She adjusts the classes to your needs, but also pushes you to work hard and increase your capabilities.  One of the best parts of her classes is that she is always prepared with a workout. No guessing at what she want us to do next, everything is planned and ready to go.

Rejoining acac and working with Janine as a personal trainer over the past three years has been fantastic.  The success I have had has encouraged friends to also join in her class!”
