Yin Yoga 4-week Workshop | acac Downtown in February

Yin Yoga is a style where postures are held for a sustained period so that one may direct his/her awareness deeper then the muscles. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue, ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body. All postures are either seated or lying down. The Yin postures are held for several minutes and target the hips, pelvis and lower spine. It is a quiet practice that brings ease and buoyancy to the body. Yin Yoga is great for everyone- beginner and experienced yogis, as well as athletes who want to balance the active side of their exercise.

About The Instructor: Marla has been practicing yoga since 1993 and teaching since 2001. Several years ago Marla took a Yin yoga class and fell in love with practice. Since then she has trained with Biff Mithoefer and she received her teaching certificate in 2011. Marla’s thoughtful blend of poses and her overall enthusiasm make her classes appropriate for all.
