Yoga for Athletes at acac Downtown

Join acac Mind Body Director John Piller for this special class series!

Cross-training with yoga offers the physical benefits of increased strength, flexibility,  and stamina to improve one’s performance in other sports.  It also increases one’s mental focus, helps one find “the zone” through controlled breathing exercises, and prevents common sports injuries. We will explore the various challenges specific to many athletes–tight hips, hamstrings, quads, and shoulders–while moving through a balanced practice that will include visualization and deep relaxation.
