acac Presents $28,440 Check

acac Midlothian

acac presented a $28,440 check to Greater Richmond Fit4Kids at Ginter Park Elementary School in October. The money was raised during the month of September, when acac sold 30 day memberships to their Short Pump and Midlothian based fitness centers for $30 each to celebrate their 30th Anniversary in business. The entirety of the monies went to Fit4Kids.

Executive Director Mary Dunne Stewart accepted the check alongside several children from Ginter Park, a school that directly benefits from Fit4Kids’ programs. Fit4Kids’ mission is to improve children’s health and reducing the prevalence of childhood obesity in the Richmond region by offering innovative programs that promote physical activity and healthy eating in schools, community organizations and beyond.

This is the seventh time acac has done this type of program. It originated in 2009 when celebrating their 25th anniversary with a 25 Days for $25. Former charities receiving donations include the American Heart Association, the Arthritis Foundation, the Richmond Animal League, First Book – Greater Richmond and Feedmore.
