Client of the Month

Teresa’s Client Stefanie

“I made the decision to start training with Teresa after finishing five months of physical therapy for a shoulder injury. In the years since graduating from college, I had developed poor eating habits and gotten stuck in a rut with my workout routine.

Teresa helps me set challenging, but realistic goals for exercise and nutrition. She has helped me incorporate strength training and a variety of exercises into my workouts. She introduced me to BodyStep which is now my favorite Group Exercise class. With Teresa’s guidance and encouragement, I have conquered my dread of the leg press machine and can successfully hold a plank with my feet on a medicine ball! In addition, Teresa has helped me examine my diet by keeping a food journal, and I’ve made changes to my eating habits to improve my overall wellness.

Since beginning training 3 years ago, I have lost over 25 pounds and dropped 2 jean sizes. I have run in the Charlottesville Women’s 4 Miler as well as a few 5k races. Working out with Teresa has been so beneficial to me because I know that I have someone on my side to encourage me, challenge me, and give me advice.”

Leigh’s Client Joanne

“I began training with Leigh about a year and a half ago because I was at a point in my life where I knew I wanted to lose weight for my health and also to be able to enjoy being active with my family.

Leigh helped me transform not only my body, but my health and mindset as well. I thank Leigh several times a week for the profound difference she has made in my life. She is kind enough to remind me that my success is also due to my own hard work and willingness to stick with it even when I become discouraged.

The most important lesson she instilled in me is that exercise never gets “easy.” I was so happy when I mastered a plank, but become discouraged when I had to balance a plank on a ball. Leigh reminded me that when I master an activity, that is to be celebrated, but as I progress, I have to continually bump it up a notch to keep making gains.

The long term gains I have made are profound. I have lost 45 lbs, 2 pant sizes, and my blood sugar levels have improved tremendously. I want people to know that Leigh has truly helped me change my life and for that I will be forever grateful.”
