Yoga for Athletes
Join instructor Joshua Shelton for a weekly one-hour yoga class designed to challenge athletes with a particular focus on developing stamina while increasing strength, improving balance, and finding the flexibility required to maintain safety and integrity in athletics over time.

About the Instructor:
After 8 years of running marathons and rowing competitively, Joshua turned to yoga as a way to open his body and quiet his mind. He completed his first RYT 200 under Gopi Kinnicut in Washington, D.C., and has since traveled to India to complete an additional RYT 200 program in traditional Kaula Tantra Yoga, and studied Restorative yoga under Judith Lasater and Marla Cantor. Last summer Joshua studied 200 hours of traditional Nuad Bo Rarn (Northern Style Thai Yoga Massage) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and incorporates this training in juicy and deep adjustments. Joshua sees yoga as a powerful tool for transforming our bodies and minds through openness, honesty and compassion. His classes focus on deep alignment and long holds, encouraging his students to meet their edge with support, compassion and laughter.
