DPP Success Stories

Here’s how others have been helped by acac’s Diabetes Prevention Program!

Participants in the DPP program lost a collective 145lbs, on average of 24.3lbs per person over 6 months.

“Since getting married, I had gained 45 pounds. Three years ago I was determined to lose weight and be more active. I had edged toward my goals, but on my own, I had gotten stuck and stymied. I couldn’t get more weight off. With support from the acac coaches and my group, I came to recognize and master small habits one-by-one, week-by-week. By changing my lifestyle, I am now where I want to be and my blood sugar is back in the normal range. I am light on my feet and dancing again. I feel great. Now, I’m even getting certified to be a coach myself so I can help others as acac has helped me.”
