I have had personal training sessions with Josh and am currently participating in a small group training class with him.  I find Josh to be both gentle and kind while attending to everyone’s personal needs.  In my training sessions, he introduced me to many challenging routines but always with an element of fun and humor. Josh was invaluable in assisting me to reach my fitness goals.  He helped me build confidence while providing me with various programs to maintain my strength and balance. He believed in me and his encouragement and support is still ongoing.  I would highly recommend Josh as a personal training coach.  He is truly one of a kind.

About Me:

Growing up overweight and depressed wasn’t exactly fun, but it did teach me a few things about compassion and perspective. I topped out at nearly 300 lbs and zero self-worth before I decided to stop looking outward for acceptance and start focusing on learning how to value and accept myself. The hardest part of my journey wasn’t eating right or exercising, it was changing my old habits and developing new ones that would serve me instead of sabotage my goals. Changing my habits changed my life, and I truly believe in the power habits hold. Since embarking on this journey of self-discovery, I’ve found that my passion in life lies in helping others along their journey to better health and wellness. I’ve devoted much of my time over the last 6 years to getting a degree in health and fitness science, becoming a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine, and honing my skills on-site in both corporate and commercial fitness settings. The experiences I’ve had along with the education I’ve attained have come together to create a coaching style that is as much about client education as it is about fitness. My goal as a trainer is to not only coach you through workouts while you’re training with me, but to also equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to continue living a healthy lifestyle indefinitely.

Move Better, Live Better: For those interested in maintaining their balance, mobility, and strength throughout their golden years. Each 30 minute session covers all of these goals in a fun, social environment with upbeat music and lots of laughs. Included with every session is a handout of all the exercises we did that day so you can continue to practice them independently. No experience required, please email me for more information.

M.O.A. (Michelle Obama Arms): Designed to develop a community for women interested in strength training and developing lean muscle, M.O.A. combines barbell strength training fundamentals with high intensity interval training. Each session highlights a core barbell movement both as a group and through one-on-one coaching. Training intervals are changed every week and are designed to stimulate core stability and muscle tone. Every class includes a detailed handout of the workout for you to take home with you to practice what you’ve learned.
