Refine and Build Your Yoga Practice
Looking to advance your yoga practice? In this eight week program learn key movements that will increase the strength needed to take your yoga practice to the next level. Expect an emphasis on core strength, stability, correct muscle activation as well as mindful alignment cues.
In each class we will focus on 3-4 asanas and suitable strength training exercises that will complement the chosen asanas.
Upon completion of the 8-week session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key muscles and activation of those muscles as they relate to hatha yoga
- Apply key strength training principles (the hip hinge, a horizontal pull, and a push movement) to enhance specific yoga poses
This workshop is appropriate for those who have been practicing yoga for 6 months.
