acac’s Mission

Our youth tennis mission is to create a positive, caring and dynamic environment that mindfully focuses on the physical, emotional and mental growth of junior tennis players.

Youth Developmental Program

PRESCHOOL TENNIS
  • Ages 3 – 5
  • Introduced to the fundamentals of tennis through activities designed to build a solid foundation for long term athletic development
  • Activities are focused on developing the ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) all while forming skills necessary to serve, rally, and score
  • Red ball used on 36′ court
  • Tue | Wed | Thu | 5:00 – 5:45

RED ROOKIES
  • Ages 6 – 8
  • Students continue to sharpen their ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) while beginning to develop more dynamic movement and footwork patterns that focus on sending and receiving the ball
  • Introduction of topspin and underspin on both the forehand and backhand strokes as well as the different grips used
  • Red ball used on 36′ court
  • Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | 5:00 – 6:00pm
ORANGE ACES
  • Ages 9 & 10
  • Introduces the basics skills of tennis through the use of hand-eye coordination drills along with stroke production
  • The ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) are a major focus at this level
  • Cooperative drills are used to introduce players to serve, rally, and scoring
  • Orange ball used on 60′ court
  • Mon | Tue | Wed | 6:00 – 7:00pm
GREEN FUTURES
  • Ages 11 & 12
  • Introduces the basics skills of tennis through the use of hand-eye coordination drills along with stroke production
  • The ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) are a major focus at this level
  • Cooperative drills are used to introduce players to serve, rally, and scoring
  • Students build a strong foundation through playing and fun drills that will lead to quicker development
  • Green ball used on a 78′ court
  • Mon | Wed | 4:30 – 6:00pm
YELLOW ACCELERATORS
  • Ages 12 – 18 Beginner Level
  • Introduces the basics skills of tennis through the use of hand-eye coordination drills along with stroke production
  • The ABCs (agility, balance, and coordination) are a major focus at this level
  • Cooperative drills are used to introduce players to serve, rally, and scoring
  • Yellow ball used on a 78′ court
  • Tue | Thu | 4:30 – 6:00pm
YELLOW CHALLENGERS
  • Ages 12 – 18 Intermediate Level
  • Players in this level have demonstrated an understanding of the core concepts and are able to  vary their shots with different speed, spin, and placement
  • Focus at this level is on tactics and general point play
  • Yellow ball used on a 78′ court
  • Mon | Wed | 4:30 – 6:00pm
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
  • Ages 12 – 18 Advanced Level
  • Designed for both high school players and soon to be high schoolers as well as tournament players
  • Prepares players for their season and helps participants improve consistency and tactics
  • Singles and doubles strategy is a large component to this level
  • Focus is on the keys to consistency, footwork, serve/return, and match toughness
  • Yellow ball used on a 78′ court
  • Tue | Thu | 4:30 – 6:00pm
COACHED MATCH PLAY
  • Kids of all levels can play on a weekly basis.
  • Format has both singles and doubles play
  • Tennis Pro there to coach as kids play
  • Fri | Sun | 4:30 – 6:00pm

Junior Tennis Summer Camps

JUNIOR MINI CAMP
  • Levels | Beginner Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Balls
  • Days & Time | Mon – Fri | 10:30am – 1:30pm
  • Cost | Member $180 | Non-member $210
  • Lunch available for $40/week or bring your own

TOURNAMENT TRAINER CAMP
  • Levels | Intermediate & Advanced Green, Yellow and Orange Balls
  • Days & Time | Mon – Thu | 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • USTA Sanctioned 1 Day Tournament on June 28, July 12 & Aug 9
  • Cost | Member $350 | Non-member $390
  • Lunch available for $32/week or bring your own
