I’ve been working with Patrick for nearly three years. At first we were trying to exercise through back pain and gain general fitness and some relief. As time went on, it became evident that although I was meeting many goals the pain was not improving. Patrick worked with me on deciding what should be the next step. He then introduced me to a practitioner who further narrowed down the issues and referred me to a physician who finally diagnosed the real problem. Patrick then continued to work with me before and after two hip replacements. He got me in the best possible condition going into surgery. Following / during physical therapy, he worked with the therapist on where I was and the best way forward. I am now more than one year after the second replacement and continue to work with Patrick. He has provided constant encouragement, reinforcement, and a way forward. I no longer have the back pain, I walk better than I have in years, I’m more stable, I’m stronger, and I go down the stairs with ease. The best part is that Patrick continues to challenge me and figure out how to keep improving. I frequently have moments when I suddenly realize that some task was doable when it wasn’t before, when something is suddenly easy again, or when I just realize how much better I’ve gotten.
