How to Pack a Balanced Lunch for Kids

April 23rd-27th is National Every Kid Healthy Week, an annual week that spotlights the link between nutrition, physical activity, and learning in schools. Kids are notoriously picky eaters, but it is possible to pack a wholesome, balanced lunch that they will actually enjoy! Follow the steps below to get started.

Each lunchbox should include the CORE 4 + 1:

 

Remember to include all five food groups when choosing the CORE 4 above:

 

Consider purchasing a lunch box with dividers to help with portion sizes and to make it easier to pack each food group. We like this one from Amazon.
