The heart of our club featuring a temperature controlled lap pool, a warm water activity pool and a heated whirlpool. The gathering spot for aquatic group exercise and more.

Basketball Court

Our half-court basketball arena offers members open play opportunities, and hosts events, family time and pickleball.

Cafe

Enjoy fresh, nourishing options designed to support your workouts and your lifestyle—whether you’re grabbing a quick post-workout boost or lingering with a coffee between classes.

EDGE Cycle Studio

Turn up the volume and turn up the intensity in the EDGE Cycle Studio. With beat-driven playlists, motivating instructors, and a contagious group vibe, every ride is built to push your limits and leave you feeling unstoppable.

Fitness Floor

Our Fitness floor is multi-layered, featuring a wide range of cardio, free weight, seclectorized and functional training space to cater to your perfect workout.

Functional Training Area

Our Functional Training area offers space for 1-1 focused training with a personal trainer, a turf area for sled pushes, TRX equipment, bosu balls and more.

Albemarle Square Programs

Our Albemarle Square programs are designed to support total-body wellness with a balanced range of movement options for every level. Each activity is guided by knowledgeable instructors and powered by a welcoming community that encourages you to keep going. Here, fitness is about more than exercise — it’s about feeling supported, confident, and healthy together.

Dolphin Babies

Our parent-and-child swim classes for ages 6 months to 3 years create a positive first experience in the water. With a focus on safety, floating, and simple movement skills, parents join their little ones in the pool while instructors guide fun, confidence-building activities.

Dolphin Swim School

A more structured, curriculum focused approach to aquatic learning, our Dolphin Swim School is an ideal learn-to-swim program for novice swimmers ages 3+. Our instructors are trained in the Starfish Aquatic International Swim School curriculum, focusing on creating safer swimmers by developing swim and safety skills.  The program includes (8) 30-minute classes designed to help students develop a foundation of swimming skills in a child-centered environment. Group size may range from 3 to 6 participants, meeting 1x/week for 8 weeks.

GLP-1 Support

This 3-month program supports individuals taking obesity management medications or considering them by providing structured exercise guidance and personalized health coaching. Our specialty trainers work with you to build strength, protect muscle mass, and create sustainable movement and nutrition habits.

The program includes one-on-one meetings, group support opportunities, monthly educational seminars, and additional resources to keep you informed and motivated.

Group Exercise

Group exercise at acac Albemarle Square combines expert instruction, energizing workouts, and a welcoming community. With cardio, cycle, yoga, Pilates, strength and aquatic exercise classes offered throughout the week, there’s always a class to keep you motivated. Supportive instructors and a tight-knit group atmosphere help members of all levels stay accountable, have fun, and keep coming back.

Healthy Lifestyle Support

Need help with accountability? Looking to lose some weight? Are you at risk for developing Diabetes? We have partnered with the CDC to offer a group-based program that has been proven to help participants lose weight, adopt better eating habits, and achieve the recommended amount of physical activity. We utilize the Prevent T2 curriculum developed for the National Diabetes Prevention Program. The program consists of 24 meetings, covering different wellness topics, and is led by our certified lifestyle coaches. The program is covered by Medicare for qualified individuals.

Personal Training

Personal training at acac Albemarle Square gives you focused support and accountability from a friendly team of certified experts. Each trainer builds a custom plan rooted in functional training, strength development, warm-ups, cool-downs, and sustainable habits. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, navigating injury prevention, or aiming for long-term wellness, you’ll have clear guidance and encouragement at every step.
With consistent coaching and evidence-backed programming, you’re not just working out; you’re building confidence, progress, and lasting changes in a community that celebrates every milestone.

Physical Therapy at ACAC

Having physical therapy available within your fitness center makes wellness more seamless and accessible. Conveniently located on-site, our in-house Physical Therapy at acac clinics offer evidence-based manual therapy focused treatments that are custom-designed to help you recover from your injury or condition as quickly as possible.

Pilates Reformer

Designed to strengthen your core, improve balance, and support full-body conditioning, Pilates Reformer classes use controlled resistance to enhance stability and movement while remaining gentle on your joints.

Reformer classes are fee-based and held in our newly renovated private Pilates studio. Members can also enjoy mat and floor-based Pilates classes included with membership on our group exercise schedule.

P.R.E.P.ÂŽ

The Physician Referred Exercise Program (p.r.e.p.ÂŽ), developed by acac Fitness & Wellness, helps individuals safely start or resume exercise with guidance from trained professionals. Designed to connect healthcare and fitness, the program uses medically informed movement to support recovery, build strength, and promote lasting wellness.

From managing chronic conditions to rebuilding after surgery or beginning a fitness routine for the first time, p.r.e.p.® offers personalized support for every stage of the journey. The program welcomes all fitness levels and adapts to each participant’s individual needs.

Swim Lessons

Our children’s swim lessons focus on building lifelong water skills through safe, age-appropriate instruction. With experienced, certified instructors and small groups, kids develop technique, confidence, and independence in a fun environment that keeps learning enjoyable and stress-free.

Both private and semi-private lesson packages are available, most popularly in 6 packs of 30-minute lessons, scheduled at your convenience.

The Spa at ACAC

Find your moment of calm at The Spa at acac Albemarle Square, where soothing treatments and expert care come together to support total-body wellness. Our licensed professionals offer customized massage and facial services in a tranquil setting designed to help you relax, recover, and recharge. Whether you’re complementing your fitness routine or simply prioritizing self-care, the spa is the perfect place to slow down and reset.

Both members and non-members are invited to enjoy the benefits of The Spa at acac. A complimentary day pass and complimentary Kids Zone childcare is offered during your spa services.

Congrats to our ACAC Downtown's Superstar, Debbie Jo McGowan 🎉Debbie Jo is a fun and energetic Swim Instructor who loves helping her little swimmers achieve safety in the water.  She is known for her big smiles, her love of penguin and shark toys, and encouraging the children to learn in a fun way. She has been a part of the ACAC Downtown team since 2012.  Swimmers feel supported and have lots of fun while in the water with Debbie Jo. We are lucky to have Debbie Jo as a part of the Downtown Aquatics Team!
