Fun for all ages and abilities. Pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.

Learn a new skill and make new friends!

Pickleball is open to all classifications of acac membership. We offer private/group lessons, level based clinics, open play and socials.

The Pro Court, as well as all hard/bubble courts have permanent pickleball lines with mobile nets available for member use.

Court Fees

Full Facility members have the capability of booking a pickleball court under the same booking rules as tennis players and are subject to indoor court fees on the Pro Court and on the Hard Courts when the Bubble is up (mid-October through mid-April). All others may play with full facility members, sharing in the court fees and paying a $15 guest fee.

Open for adults to drop-in and play matches against other players. No instruction.

PICKLEBALL 101 (beginners)

This clinic is an introduction to the game of pickleball where you will learn the rules of the game and how to keep score. The goal of this class is to have you rallying and playing points within the first thirty minutes and developing your fundamentals in a fun environment!

Year-round pickleball is available at both our acac Short Pump and acac Midlothian locations in Richmond, VA. Members at acac Short Pump can enjoy private pickleball lessons or pickleball open play. Members at our acac Midlothian location can enjoy open court pickleball play and pickleball socials.
In order to play pickleball at our acac Midlothian or acac Short Pump locations, you do not need your own equipment. acac provides paddles, balls and nets for shared use. However you are welcome to bring your own gear, and many members choose to do this.
Comfortable athletic clothing and non-marking court shoes are recommended. Be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during play!
The cost of pickleball can vary depending on the location and group size. Courts are available to rent for an hourly fee, and included in some membership types. Please fill out our form for more information on pricing at acac Short Pump or acac Midlothian.
